There is a genuine excitement that occurs when something magical happens. These are the times that I genuinely lose myself in the excitement and the complete euphoria of the moment is overwhelming. These moments do not happen every time that I make a conscious effort to get excited. I have found that I now have the capacity to create excitement whenever I choose. I did an experiment where I was able to hold myself at the peak level of excitement today for a full 10 minutes straight. It was not the jumping euphoria, rather it was a feeling of being in a peak state. Up until now I have found that the feeling of excitement generally only holds itself at a peak for about 30 seconds unless I keep the feeling energised by moving and jumping. Today I created excitement and had the feeling intensify in my body and held it at the same intensity by turning an imaginary control nob up to amplify the feeling each time I felt like the feeling was about to exit the peak state and begin to decline. By imagining this control switch I was able to keep the intensity of the feeling high by continually imagining myself turning up the feelings. This was the longest self-generated feeling of excitement that I have been able to create thus far. I think that I will at some point extend it to 30 minutes or even 1 hour.
I can feel myself at times forcing my excitement and striving to feel excitement when it does not feel spontaneous or genuine. Each day I get the feelings of excitement in my body I anchor those feelings putting my right fist in front of my sternum. Regardless of the way that I am generating the feelings in my body, either by jumping and moving or thinking about past events that were inspiring, or thinking about future goals, the effect can be the same. Feeling excitement is energising.
There is a feeling of my spirit lifting and my outlook becoming brighter. Some afternoons I will ask my son who is 5 years old to help me. He often has enough excitement inside him for the both of us. I will ask him to help me to feel excited and then we jump together to generate great feelings in our bodies. This really works. I have learned that sometimes the feeling is less strong, and therefore has less impact. I can increase it by using my body, performing power moves or screaming out the words, “I am AWESOME”. Other times I feel myself letting go and really experiencing the full impact of this feeling excitement right throughout my entire body.
I have been anchoring this feeling into my body now for about 6 months and my positivity has reached a whole new level. I have also found that I can accomplish so much more and that my mind has increased in its ability to learn and process information. I can serve more, do more, love more and be more. Excitement really is a super emotion and I cannot wait to see what another 6 months of feeling excitement each and every day will bring into my life.
