Why do I prime? Firstly I have a believing heart, and I have been told in the past by one I would consider wise that certain actions produce certain results. That seems very evident and almost third grade. When I hear a statement like this from one who is wealthy, happy, content and fulfilled, then I will listen and then model what they themselves have done. I attended an event in September 2015 with Tony Robbins. The event was unbelievable for me. I used so much energy as I really wanted to get an extreme amount out of the event. Therefore my investment was tremendous. I really do not think I have ever invested so much effort and energy to one event ever in my life. Considering my diet, I amazed myself and others in the auditorium. Others appreciated the level of energy that I displayed. Prior to the event I read the words to the effect, “one can be excited for a day or a week, but to be excited for 20 years will give you the life of your dreams”. I read this quote and immediately thought to myself. “Impossible”. I thought about the emotions that I experienced…
Seminars, workshops, life coaching and re-patterning sessions. Am I spreading myself too thin? Well, the truth is that I am here, there and all over the place. I have run a couple of seminars, on things that I have been studying for 5 years. Then I go and begin to teach about money like I’m an expert, or as if I actually know something about it. A topic that I have limited understanding about. A topic that I do not have experience in. Some of these topics are foreign to me, and they are ideas and concepts that I myself cannot endorse through personal experience and knowledge. There is something wrong here. What I learned today was that there is a mammoth difference between teaching principles that I don’t believe, and teaching principles that I do. The not knowing or the lack of experience could not fully support the principles that I was teaching. In some ways I felt that my unconscious mind was working against me in the teaching of the principles. There was an in-authenticity about the teaching. Its the old principle that in order to teach it, you must know it. Not just know about it, but…
Has there been a period in your life in which you were ‘burning the candle at both ends’. Goals, dreams, ambition constantly require effort and energy to constantly produce outstanding results. I have just returned from a well needed holiday at the Gold Coast. It was wonderful to be with the family and enjoy quality time with them. There are so many ‘pulls’ and ‘tugs’ in the world, that often we need to re-evaluate where we are heading and what we are creating. Love, marriage and relationships are pulling us in one direction, while career aspirations are tugging us in another direction. We invest time toward being physically fit and healthy, while feeling the need to contribute and provide service to those in need. I once attended the medieval festival where a jester was balancing on a small plank, that was balancing on red ball. He then began to juggle. As I think about this scene, I believe that this is a great analogy for life, and the many pressures and competing forces that demand our attention. Having a family holiday was fantastic, and it reminded me how critical it is to ensure that the family, the fundamental unit of…
Weakness is the mortal condition to which we are born. Of all animals in this world there is none that are weaker for such a long period of time than that of a human child. Many animals are up and walking within days or weeks. By comparison the human child can take up to a year or longer to balance and walk. The fast walkers still require more than 7 months. While visiting SeaWorld yesterday I discovered that the polar bear cub is chased off by its mother when still less that 3 years of age. At this age the cub has fully learned all the skills necessary for survival, and is ready to take on the world. Compare this to a human child, many of which still need support and guidance into their 20’s. We are born into weakness, and weakness is the natural condition of mankind. We are given weakness for a purpose. 1/ Weakness creates a situation in which each of us can really be tested. If everything came easy there would be no real growth. If everything’s fell into our lap we would not need to develop a drive. We would not need to develop our…
AccessWorldSeminars has achieved its July goals for Life coaching. This is very exciting news. With this Goal reached we are now in full swing. With limited time for coaching remaining it is a challenge to continue to increase the individual sessions that i have been providing. It is not as possible to fit much more into my very busy lifestyle. Thus the need to adapt. I am now holding group sessions instead of individual sessions. These workshops will begin next month, and will give the opportunity for more people to be involved in the growth and development that AccessWorldSeminars offers. Individual life coaching will still be available, however as demand for the services that I offer continue to increase, it is becoming necessary to hold group life coaching sessions. If you are struggling with in-congruence, self-sabotage and bad habits or addictions, then life coaching is for you. If you are wanting to make your dreams and goals happen faster than you ever thought possible, then life coaching is for you. How much would it cost in your future to stay stuck? With the tools now available, the time to engage is now. Lets get rid of Fear, Laziness and limited self…
There are a great deal of people who believe that their product or service is great value. The value of any service or product is not always reflected in the sales. It is not always reflected in revenue or profits. It is not always received in the manner intended, neither does it always live up to its promises. The strength and value of a product or service is only as good as its ability to be measured, weighed in the balance and compared. When a product is tested against other products, this yields quantifiable results. For example a vacuum cleaner can be tested to see how much dust it collects. A cleaning product can be tested to see how shiny a surface becomes, and a knife could be tested for its ability to remain sharp after excessive use. A product can therefore be tested, measured, evaluated and reviewed. A service in the form of education or up-skilling is somewhat different. We have moved into the Information Age, and the value of knowledge has never been higher. Ideas and concepts, though intangible, hold the key to health, wealth, and success. Information cannot be quantified, weighted or tested in the same way…
I did some neurological repatterning with a young man of about 24 years old. This young man had experienced a difficult childhood, and as a result he was struggling to cope with everyday life. He had made some choices that made it difficult for him to cope in certain situations. One of these situations was an unexpected or unwelcome touch on his body. This action would trigger feeling of betrayal that he described as a blue feeling that stated in the middle of his chest and shot into his arms and body. It left him feeling empty and angrily visually fixated on whatever he believed had caused it. I found this out as he was telling me about his challenges and I shouted “be healed”, while putting my hand on his head like a priest in the Pentecostal faith. (Neurological shock). His reaction was immediate and aggressive. He wanted to assault me and I could see the hatred he was displaying was out of this world. He squeezed his fists and his eyes narrowed on my. I just watched patiently. It appeared like he was fighting against the temptation to attack and kill me. He moved over away…
I have been thinking a lot about values over the last couple of days. Values are simply judgements about something. Judgements are split into two categories. The first is made up of things that you may like. The second is made of things you may dislike. The reasons or judgments about why you like or dislike that thing is a key in determining your set of values. For example; You may like exercise. You may dislike running. You may like eating fish. You may dislike Lamb shanks. You may like self-improvement. You may dislike religion. You may like computer games. You may dislike public speaking. Our likes and dislikes create feelings, attitudes and beliefs. These feelings, attitudes and beliefs result in us finding certain attributes or qualities important to us and our life. As we consider what is important in a certain area of life we are in fact thinking about our values. One of the best ways of eliciting values from a person is to ask the question. What is important to you in that area? As an example if you wanted to know what your physical fitness values were, you might ask yourself…
I attended a meeting on leadership principles. In this meeting I was asked to come up to the front of the room with 2 other people. While at the front of the room two of us were asked to grab the arms of the third person, one on one side and the second on the other. I obediently grabbed onto the left arm of this man. We were then asked to pull which we did. Pointing to the man in the middle the speaker made this point. He stated that we all represented the man the middle being pulled in two different directions. He stated that we need to resist and remain on track and focussed, and have a constant battle within ourselves in order to make good choices. Obviously he was talking about the conflict that exists between the conscious mind and the unconscious man. In religion it is referred to as the conflict between good and evil. The conflict between God and the devil. The conflict between light and darkness. The natural man and the spiritual man. What if we reached a point in our minds and hearts in which there was no internal conflict? …
There are people in the world who revel in other people’s misery. They constantly laugh about those in hardship, or those who are a worse position than themselves. Kind words of encouragement do not escape their lips, rather they are critical and happy that another is on lower ground than they themselves appear to be. Am I happy when I find someone in hardship? Absolutely. I get excited. In fact the more problems you have the more excited I become. Here is why. Working with a client who is hitting home runs and making things happen is great. My role with such a person is to offer a little bit of steering and a little guidance. Contrast that with a client who is pathetic. There are some people who have so many challenges that it makes a mine field feel like a patch of paradise. I met with a man who was overweight. He was struggling financially. Had no job. His marriage was on the rocks. He was struggling with depression. He had no direction or purpose in life. THAT GOT ME SO EXCITED. This is such a happy moment for me because I know that as a life coach…
