If you want to be great, be grateful. The world is full of highly successful people, who have accumulated a lot of money, a lot of property, a lot of material possessions and a lot of knowledge. You do not have to travel far to discover that some of these people, though wealthy, are not happy in their core. They are not living a life of fulfillment. The same rings true for the poor and destitute. Some have very meager means and yet radiate happiness and fulfillment, yet others are weighed down by the troubles of life. Fulfillment really has little to do with prosperity. It has everything to do with how grateful we are, and there are some very basic and logical reasons for this. For some Happiness does indeed come from money. This is only up to a point. Once our needs and some of our wants have been met there is no more happiness to be found in money. Therefore we must look to find happiness in some other way. As we consider the contrast between the fulfilled, and unfulfilled, let us consider the 4 ways that gratitude leads to a fulfilling life. For the past year…
I wrote an article several months ago about gratitude. A lot has changed in my world since this time and therefore as I prepare for my Gratitude workshop, I felt it appropriate to talk about gratitude as someone who has focused consistently on this principle now for over 12 months. The commitment that I made was to say a prayer of gratitude every morning. When I first began this practice I was only giving gratitude for the good things in my life. I was only grateful for my blessing. I was only grateful for the people who love and support me. I was only grateful for my positive emotions, for my success in financial pursuits, and the health and vitality that I enjoyed. Then something happened. I was running with my dog and a thought come into my mind and a spiritual feeling entered my body. The thought was “One that has a gratitude heart, will enjoy the journey, not just the end result”. What changed at this time was that I had been thinking about the hardships of life. I was thinking about the rejection that I had experienced. I was thinking about the things in my life that…
A woman described the pain in her knee as 8 out of 10. Huge amounts of pain in her knee. I showed her how to eliminate all the pain in about 10 minutes. Both her knees were pain free. I received a text message this morning telling me that the pain is gone, and that I am a miracle worker. Today I spoke to a women with pain filled shins. She described the pain as level 5 as she walked. The pain was gone after we did the mental exercise. All it too was about 10 minutes. Headaches, back aches, cramps and pains all disappear so easily that it’s almost a joke. My hip was sore the other day. It was so sore I could not touch my toes without bending my knees. The pain and discomfort as in my right hip. I used the technique on myself and it took me three goes. I’m a little slower than others. I have more of a skeptical mind then some. So I really need to concentrate to have the technique work perfectly. I used it a little while ago when I was experiencing pain in my tooth. I learned something very…
We all have a need to be loved. We all want to feel deeply loved by another person and share something unique and special. We want that person to love the entirety of us as a person. We want that person to love our good and noble qualities, and to be patient with and love us through our shortfalls and failings. To offer loving support until we iron out our weaknesses, and turn these weaknesses into strengths. We want the kind of love that enables us to grow and expand, while trusting implicitly in the ongoing support of our true friend and lover. The reality of mortality is that all of us have weaknesses and shortcomings. We may desire to always be supporting, loving, kind and generous, only to find that their is always a gap between where we are and where we would like to be. This gap keeps us yearning for improvement and growth. Setting our personal goal as mastery in the area of relationships keeps us continually striving. Love is the reward. Remember the first rule of mastery is to realise that there is no mastery, only increments of excellence. Mastery in relationships means continual growth, and…
Dry Nights, Bedwetting is a major concern. According to recent studies about 80 percent of children cease wetting the bed by the age of 5. Of the remaining 20 percent some will continue to wet the bed for years. For some bedwetting can continue into the teenage years and even adulthood. In fact the older the child gets the more need for intervention and psychiatric help and assistance. Experts tell us that the in the absence of a pattern of bladder control, the child will continue to have problems and that these will generally not be resolved without some form of intervention. Mechanical pads, alarms, psychiatrist, psychologist and other professionals may be relied on to assist. When you encounter this issue, you should consider the assistance of a life coach. I will tell you why. The cost of pull ups is very high. Over months and years you could spend thousands of dollars. $$$$$$. The cost of trained medical professional may take weeks or months to slowly work through all the underlying issues associated with the challenge. This too will cost. $$$$$$. A peak performance life coach will stamp out the issue in one session. Let me share with you…
My daughter was visiting and we had many special and wonderful experiences together. On the camping trip we played cards together and I laughed so hard that it hurt. The enjoyment of that time will forever live as a highlight in my mind. During the holidays, she had injured herself and I took her to the hospital and stayed for several hours with her while the doctors treated her. We learned that she tore a muscle in her upper thigh. She was in tremendous pain and was given an injection for the pain, yet there was little else that could be done. There was also a time where my daughter invited the family together so that she could share with us her feelings and dreams for herself and for each of us. That was an amazing experience and there was a richness of love and joy created. Every single person spoke and we listened to each individual person for about an hour. Another special time was where my daughter and I sat and spoke for a couple of hours. During the conversation we really connected on a deep level. We spoke about life and choices. We spoke of joy and love. We spoke of the future and the past. It was…
Yesterday a work colleague was asked how he was by a visitor and he said the word “great”. Whist he used a positive word in his answer, it really lacked the energy that the word would tend to inspire. The word was flat and without life. The word was free from any tonal inflection. The word was bereft of energy. The word was lifeless. I turned and stated to him that this was the most inauthentic thing I had heard all day. The word was in-congruent with his facial expression, his tone, volume and body language. To that he smiled, and I saw a light come into his eyes as he threw his arms into the air and shouted “GREAT”. This time his energy level was sky-high. The volume was far greater and his face was animated. He was being authentic when he said it this time. He grinned and then after doing this simple gesture began to laugh. The person that he had said “GREAT” to looked stunned as his reaction was so unexpected. This added to the humour of the situation. He and I both used this simple gesture to energise each other for the rest of the…
On the 31st I had my first introductory seminar for Access World Seminars. I had put in tremendous effort and was very prepared for the seminar. In the morning I began in my usual way of doing some breathing exercises, visualising light going into my body and giving gratitude. As I sat down for breakfast I felt a spiritual feeling go all the way through my body as I thought about the introduction seminar. I really feel blessed and grateful to be able to share information that has had a huge impact on my life. I also feel that I am living my purpose in life, and I believe that there is nothing better in life than to live each day striving to fulfil that purpose.
